A very widely grown hydrangea in France, appreciated for the rich coloring which is not cleanly pink or blue but a dusky crimson or deep purple or smoky blue. A heavy bloomer with large, coarse foliage and a vigorous but compact habit. Bred by Henri Cayeux, of Le Havre, France, in 1927. |
