'Jogansaki'
Another foundling from the wilds of Japan, a lacecap with double sterile flowers which are fancy and delicate at the same time. I love the way the sterile florets fly off in little groups in different directions; their extremely long flower tubes providing plenty of lift. A robust plant with a steady stream of bloom throughout the season. This also seems to fit into the Sir Joseph Banks group, and makes one consider seriously Haworth-Booth's notion of a coastal species he dubbed Hydrangea maritima.
