Purple
The color of old roses, and of the twentieth century obsession with ‘Blue Roses,’ purple runs the spectrum from rich cerise-pink through royal purple and violet to pale lavender. Cerise can be a shade of red at its coolest as well as a shade of pink.  Lavender roses are often tinted with pink.
